Preeminent artist Robert Indiana has consistently used bold and visually dazzling images to make us stop and consider both the simplicity and the complexity of words like LOVEand HEALin our everyday lives. Working since the early 1960s, the artist recentlyworkedwitha local printer and decided tocreate and release HEAL. Timely in its message, both socially and economically, HEALis resonant in its announcement for healing on every level and has remained an important aspect in the artists’ work throughout his career.

Known for his public artwork, Tom Otterness created this whimsical bronze sculpture for the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. In addition to the main structure, Otterness placed smaller figures throughout the rest of the multi-level space which produces an experience that extends past the viewer's initial glance.

Nadia Ackerman is a singer/songwriter and illustrator living in Brooklyn. She begins her artistic process by siting down at the piano and writing a song. Once the track is recorded, she then puts pen to paper and creates artwork that embodies the meaning of the song. Mary Jane was commissioned for the Montefiore Children’s Hospital Epilepsy Unit.

Laura Alvarez is an illustrator, designer, visual artist, community activist and educator. As a child, she was happy with paints and a surface to utilize them. She creates parallel, imaginary worlds and fantastic beings and animals that are sweet but looking closer you can still find something that can surprise you. They definitely have something behind them, a story. It's a sweet look into everyday things.
